DWU The Original Real Erzgebirge Incense Smoker Mushroom Picker – Forest Green
A Little Woodland Character from Germany
Straight from the forests of Germany’s Ore Mountains comes a rather wonderful fellow who’s clearly had a successful afternoon foraging.
Meet the DWU Mushroom Picker Incense Smoker in Forest Green, a charming traditional German wooden figure with a magnificent bushy grey beard, tall pointed brown hat and forest-green coat.
With his little wooden basket filled with mushrooms, black boots and a smoking pipe, this characterful woodland wanderer looks perfectly at home in a cosy cabin or amongst your favourite forest-inspired decorations.
Handcrafted by DWU Drechselwerkstatt Uhlig in Germany’s famous Erzgebirge region, this traditional Räuchermann (incense smoker) is designed to hold an incense cone, allowing fragrant smoke to escape through the figure’s pipe.

Traditional Erzgebirge Craftsmanship:
The Erzgebirge, or Ore Mountains, has a long history of traditional wooden craftsmanship.
Amongst its most recognisable creations are the charming Räuchermänner, decorative incense smokers depicting everything from woodland wanderers and craftsmen to festive characters.
DWU continues this wonderful tradition with its characterful wooden figures, celebrating the region’s connection to nature, rural life and skilled woodturning.
Our Mushroom Picker captures that heritage beautifully, complete with his basket of woodland discoveries and an impressive beard that suggests he’s spent rather a lot of time outdoors.
How to Use:
Carefully open the figure according to the manufacturer’s instructions and place a suitable lit incense cone on the internal holder.
Once reassembled, fragrant smoke gently escapes through the smoking pipe.
Always position your incense smoker on a stable, heat-resistant surface, never leave burning incense unattended and keep away from children, pets and flammable materials. Allow everything to cool completely before handling.
Incense cones are not included unless otherwise stated.
Perfect For:
Mushroom lovers, woodland wanderers, foragers, collectors of traditional German decorations and anyone who appreciates cosy cabin interiors.
A wonderfully unusual Christmas gift, but equally charming displayed throughout the autumn and winter months.
